thanks to my friend Kristie Cook, i've just discovered that Amazon has gone "Facebook" on us. you can now go to a book's Amazon page and click a "like" button. it's right under the title and author info.
as someone said in the comments on Facebook, it's a way to give an opinion if you don't have much to say. i'd have to agree. sometimes i don't have time for a review, or i don't know what to say, but i can hit the like button and give a quick thumbs up to the book. i know i'm going to be spending a few minutes there liking a lot of books.
