my kind of blogfest
Nicole Ducleroir at One Significant Moment at a Time is hosting the Bernard Pivot Blogfest. this one is easy because we just have to answer questions about ourselves and you know how much i love doing that. i just wish i had the time to read all the entries in the blogfest.
we have the chance to be creative with our answers, but i'm not feeling very creative today, so i'll have to settle for plain. here goes.
1. What is your favorite word? i love words, so it's hard to choose a favorite, but in light of just celebrating Valentine's Day, i'll choose my husband's name-- Joe.
2. What is your least favorite word? death
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? an inspiring movie or book, a beautiful sunset, the seashore, a stirring piece of music, quiet in my house
4. What turns you off? stress and too much noise
5. What is your favorite curse word? do i really want to answer this one? let's just say it's not appropriate for my blog, and i can't believe i just admitted that.
6. What sound or noise do you love? my kids getting along (which they do most of the time), violin music, any good music, a bubbling stream
7. What sound or noise do you hate? any noise that's pitched so low that it rumbles through me, or pitched so high that it makes my ears hurt.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? my previous profession was elementary teacher, and my current profession is homemaker/mom. if i could try a new one, i think it would be cake decorator or flower arranger. but if it were my profession, maybe i would get tired of it.
9. What profession would you not like to do? anything shown on Dirty Jobs.
10. If Heaven exists (and i believe it does), what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "I'm so glad we finally get to see each other face to face."

Stress is definitely a turn-off! That should have been on my list. lol
Fellow blogfest participant and new follower here. I'm also a former teacher and now a stay-at-home mom of two toddlers. I really like your answers. If you get a chance, check out mine at: http://writinginwonderland.blogspot.com/
Love your answers! And I can't believe you said that on your blog either! LOL Just kidding! ;-)
Great answer to #1. I guess that's the case for anyone who loves writing >:)
Cold As Heaven
Oh my gosh! Was your favourite curse word the same as mine??? *grin* New follower!
Fellow Blogfest person here and I enjoyed reading about you...I AM a teacher of special education students and while I love my job, goodness greacious, where is public education going to end up? In the toilet, I'm afraid...I think we have the same favoroite curse word; except most of the time, I only say mine on the golf course...
I would love to be a cake decorator, too! Although, given the number of times I like butter cream frosting off my fingers when I decorate the kids' birthday cakes, I guess it'd be a dangerous job for me to have.
So glad you played along! Loved your answers :))
death is your least favourite word. That's interesting. Is it because you're afraid of it or because you had bad experience? Sorry for being nosy, but I think so many people don't like what it means and there might even be a tragic sense of fear about the unknown hidden in that. I always wonder why it is so hard to talk and deal with it (primarily when you're not loosing someone, because then it's naturally hard).

Hey Michelle I'm sure God has already met you face to face! Great answers.
Denise:)
Selecting a favorite word was difficult for me, as well. The writer's curse. :) Wonderful answers!
Great ones!! thanks for sharing!
So, is it okay if I don't do the Blogfest, but still offer a comment? (I hope so!)
I liked your answer to #5 (except I don't mind admitting it at all, ;o) and #6. The sound of my kids giggling together makes me happy.
A pitch that rumbles through me...I like that description and I too hate that feeling. A fellow homeschooler, woo hoo!
Love your answser for #10! All great answers. :)
Hi Michelle, I loved your number 1- it was so sweet! Oh and I, too, love the sound of kids getting along- wish I'd remembered that one for my list! Great answers~ :)
