sharing some random Montana

Montana is now my home state. that's a little strange to say for this I-grew-up-in-Arizona girl. we're slowly adjusting to the weather and the culture and the slower pace of life.

adjusting to the driving has been interesting. we drive more now than we did in AZ - it's just part of life here to drive an hour or more to a larger town to get what we can't get in Butte (population 35,000). it takes me 20 just to get to town, which isn't a lot, but it's by freeway. and it's not a crowded freeway, but i always feel like i'm going on a roadtrip when i get on I-15.

all that to say... i thought i'd share some pictures i've taken in the last year or so. and i just realized they're all pictures of sky. hmmmm. i do have to say that of all the things i enjoy about Montana, it's the sky i really appreciate. that sounds cliche because Montana's nickname is Big Sky Country, but it really does have an amazing sky.

when it's not a gray day, i soak in the blueness of it. i've said numerous times that it's so blue it almost hurts my eyes. the pictures don't do it justice. you'll just have to come visit my beautiful new state.

Some great photos. That last one is stunning.
How fast do you get to go on I-15? Or rather, how fast do YOU go?

Wow, those are some beautiful pictures! Montana sounds great. I rather like that whole small town feel. My town has seen a lot of development the past few years and is getting crowded. I wouldn't mind to see that sky everyday.

The sky is gorgeous in Montana and Idaho too. I know even in the winter, the sun comes out and hits the snow and the sky is just so blue that your breath catches. Of course, your breath tends to catch in the cold too. LOL! Not that you got your usual snow this year.

Loved your photos too, especially the silhouette styled shots.

Had a dream once, of living in Montana, but never met a cowboy who'd take me there. :)
Lovely photos, thanks for sharing them!
