social networking?

it's the buzzword now - social networking. and don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful tool, one i use quite a lot.

but i can remember, back before twitter, facebook, myspace, texting, blogging, and even before email, we had something else for staying in touch with people.

it was called "making a phone call" (on something called a telephone - not an iPhone or a handheld device/computer that happened to make phone calls). it's still my preferred method of communication.

and before that, there were.... drumroll please.... letters. along with telegrams. and telegraphs. and smoke signals. (i know. i'm getting carried away.)

just thought i'd remind you in case you'd forgotten.

I haven't forgotten! I still make phone calls and always send real thank you and birthday cards.

I actually prefer either in person or electronic correspondence. I hate phones. :o)
