it just so happens that page 77 contains an important revelation that i don't want to reveal here since it would ruin the suspense i've tried to work into the story. but, i'll post the part you can read.
this is part of a scene with Tiana (my female MC). she's just learned something about herself that she didn't think could be possible and she's now reading a journal entry (that i can't reveal the author of-- sorry) that confirms it.
“This is the only course I can take. My hope is that she does not squander my sacrifice. If the truth does not come out, the consequences will be catastrophic.”
This time Tiana couldn’t stop her shriek.
Seconds later, Arathor burst through her door. “What happened?”
The explanation stuck in Tiana’s throat. He sat on the edge of her bed and picked up the book. She felt his shock and then a strange calm. “So," Arathor said, "she did..."
