what did your story begin with? mine was a story for my kids.

And all of Narnia sprang from that one picture.
If I had to select an inspiration picture it would be Frank Frazetta's first painting for the series Battlestar Galactica. My idea for CassaStar came from that image.

That's a great quote. There was another one I saw that was similar, by Stephen King. I was completely fascinated by this whole story coming from one little sliver of image. (Not as impressive as a whole Narnia series, but still.)
