A-Z x?

instead of beating my head against a rock in an effort to find x, y, and z quote topics, i'm making it easy. today, quotes from Calvin and Hobbes (in my opinion, one of the best comic strips in my lifetime).

I like maxims that don't encourage behavior modification.

Reality continues to ruin my life.

Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocketship underpants don't help.

Where do we keep all our chainsaws, Mom?

Life's disappointments are harder to take when you don't know any swear words.

Calvin : You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.

Hobbes : What mood is that?
Calvin : Last-minute panic.

Calvin (after his mother yells because he's been banging on pots and pans): And a check mark for Tuesday. (my kids quote this one A LOT.)

One of my favorite C&H strips is the one where he declares that math is a religion one has to take on faith, and that as a math atheist, he should be exempt from math homework. :-D

(You can see the whole strip here: http://www.gocomics.com/feature_items/explore?page=1&tag=20232)

Calvin & Hobbes were absolutely brilliant. Their relationship was so fascinating, and their conversations were gems. Great choice.
