introducing me... again

if you hopped in from Tessa's meet and greet, hello and welcome to my blog. if you're a regular blogging friend, bear with me.

here's the quick intro:

I think I've been making up stories since I could hold a pencil. Four years of college, writing in essay test booklets and spewing out what some professor wanted to hear killed my love of writing. In 2005, while researching a writing program for my kids, I re-discovered my desire to write and ended up joining NaNoWriMo.

17 days later, I had the beginnings of a fantasy novel. After I made the "mistake" of telling my relatives and friends I was writing, I ended up self-publishing it in 2007. I'm currently working on a sequel to that novel and will self publish it as well.

I have a passion for writing fiction, particularly fantasy. I always have romance in my stories. I'm a romantic at heart. I don't like writing non-fiction at all. I tried my hand at contemporary romance, but discovered I prefer making up my facts, thus the fantasy. I also have a passion for encouraging women and teens to follow their pursuit of writing, or whatever dream is in their heart to follow.

for more, you can go to the "get to know me tab" just under my giraffes. or if you're lazy, here: get to know me

I started writing stories in my head before I could. It will always be my thing.

I'm a straggler from Tessa's Fantasy Blog Hop. Still working my way through the list.

The name of your blog separated you out from the rest of the herd. I've enjoyed checking out your blog and reading excerpts from Eldala and Blackheart on the Eldala blog.

Love your quotes, especially the Steven Pressman. Nice.
