no truer words

"Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement; then it becomes a mistress, and then it becomes a master, and then a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster, and fling him out to the public.” -Winston Churchill

i think i'm in the tyrant stage, but i'm not yet reconciled to my servitude. just flinging it out is tempting, but i know i have to finish.

Mine just entered the mistress stage. I'm not telling my wife, though!

What a great quote! I'm not quite sure what stage I'm in :)

I just flung one out into the world. The other two are not quite master yet - but soon as I have the time to devote, I'm sure they will become tyrants.

I'll sure be glad when things slow down at my day job and I can be controlled by writing again.
