You can never go wrong with a good kissing scene! :-)

You're making me feel competitive, Michelle. I have this urge to try to finish my current draft by May 1st.

Only now I'm thinking about having something ready for Word Nerds and for a writer's group next week, and thinking of cutting the first three chapters which will pull my word count down again and cause all kinds of headaches in terms of getting the crucial info into the story. But I think I need to start with the waterfall scene. I've come to realize that is the "inciting incident".

Why does this never get easier?

Congrats on hitting 60K! I'm struggling to get to 50K.

Can't wait to read that kissing scene. Whom does it feature? Arathor?

Abby, thanks, me too.

Shannon, i completely agree.

Christine, easier? i wish. Arathor and Tiana, but i may have to take it out again unless i can make it something that would naturally happen in that scene instead of being forced (by me). so hard. i love kissing scenes.

I cut one out today, too.

I really liked it, too, but it was too much, too soon for the readers, I think. I'll put it in later as a flashback.
